About 1 in every 400 children and adolescents has diabetes. Carlos is a 14 year old kid that finds out he has type 2 diabetes. I think it would be pretty important to create curriculum in schools that address this disease while kids are still in Elementary School. Preventative information is always better than trying to fix the problem after it's already gotten way out of control.
